Cassie was awarded a Tauranga Moana Hearing Trust Scholarship in 2023. Cassie put forth consistent effort to achieve to the highest level throughout her years at college, meeting the challenge severe bilateral hearing loss presented her with. Cassie earned NCEA credits 1-3 and earned Excellence Endorsement on each level and earned Academic Excellence awards in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, and Health. Cassie was active in school clubs and volunteering in the community. Now attending her first year of university, she has plans to earn a Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery.

“Receiving this scholarship made my first year of university better by allowing me to go home and see my family after being away for a long period of time,” Cassie shared. Blue Lagoon Hearing Trust is proud to assist in her academic progression and wishes Cassie all the best with her studies.
